The Pemberton Nature Camp Director works in conjunction with the Wicomico County Recreation Program Director of Child Care to ensure campers experience quality outdoor and indoor environmental education through hands-on experiences with nature. Pemberton Nature Camp (PNC) is a Monday – Friday specialty summer camp with weekly nature-based themes for campers 6-13 years old. Responsibilities include development and management of curriculum development and lesson planning of PNC, staffing, training and scheduling; tracking inventory supply; teaching small and large group lessons; supervising staff and campers; daily sign in/sign out of campers including morning screenings; handling behavior problems; perform and document cleaning & sanitizing and ensuring the safety of all campers and staff at all times. Work schedule is seasonal with varying 25-30 daytime hours per week. Must be available Monday-Friday during the scheduled weeks of camp. Additional hours and days may be required. Primary location is Pemberton Historical Park.
