The Pemberton Nature Camp Director works in conjunction with the Wicomico County Recreation Program Director of Summer Camps to ensure campers experience quality outdoor and indoor environmental education through hands-on experiences with nature. Pemberton Nature Camp is a Monday-Thursday specialty summer camp with weekly nature-based themes for campers 6-13 years old. Responsibilities include development and management of curriculum and lesson planning, supervising staff, providing on the job training and feedback to staff, tracking inventory supply, teaching small and large group lessons, overseeing daily sign in/sign out of campers, addressing behavioral issues and managing campers, completing necessary paperwork, and ensuring the safety of all campers and staff at all times. Work schedule is seasonal with 40 daytime hours per week. Must be available Monday-Thursday during the scheduled weeks of camp. Additional hours and days may be required. Primary location is Pemberton Historical Park.
