Under the general supervision of the Planning Services Manager, the professional planner will support planning and program administration activities for Wicomico County. The position will be responsible for the following planning related tasks and projects:
•Administer the Agricultural Preservation and Historic Preservation programs. Responsibilities include processing applications, monitoring easements, preparing reports, and supporting the Agricultural Advisory Committee and Historic District Commission;
•Support the Salisbury-Wicomico County Planning and Zoning Commission. Responsibilities include reviewing development plans, site plans, zoning amendments, as well as assisting and / or preparing agendas, Staff reports, and written decisions;
•Prepare and present reports to the public, elected officials, appointed boards, and other governmental agencies;
•Obtain and manage grants, consultant contracts, and project / program budgets; and
•Performs related work as required.
