The Disbursement Coordinator position is located within the Wicomico County Department of Finance. The selected applicant will be responsible for the following:
Processes direct payment requests, purchase orders, expense reports, and
electronic batch requests for payment;
Date stamps paperwork, verifying backup, and alphabetizing by vendor name;
Runs tapes and entering vouchers into computer system;
Verifies reports and invoices on electronic batches;
Coordinates with Deputy Director to ensure sufficient funds are available for
disbursement;
Processes checks;
Scans and files all paper backup
Assists purchasing Department with purchase orders;
Maintains authorized County department signatures for disbursements;
Assists with debt wires, pulling reports for external auditors, and answering vendor
and department questions.
