Human Resources Assistant

The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for a wide range of personnel activities for Wicomico County including:

  1. General and receptionist clerical work; 
  2. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation; 
  3. Answering frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; 
  4. Maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records; 
  5. Assisting with data entry, job recruitment, background checks, and drug testing; 
  6. Assisting with new hire orientation, workers compensation claims, FMLA, and other benefits as needed; and 
  7. Assisting with special events
