The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for a wide range of personnel activities for Wicomico County including:
- General and receptionist clerical work;
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation;
- Answering frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.;
- Maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records;
- Assisting with data entry, job recruitment, background checks, and drug testing;
- Assisting with new hire orientation, workers compensation claims, FMLA, and other benefits as needed; and
- Assisting with special events
