DUTIES: The Program Coordinator of Youth Sports and Special Events works under the supervision of the Recreation Superintendent and Program Directors to assist with planning, implementing and executing recreation programs and special events as part of the Department’s mission. Program Coordinator duties will focus on recreational programming in youth sports and special events as required. Responsibilities include serving as on site supervisor for various programs and special events, tracking registration, inventory and organization of equipment, serving as point of contact for parents, coaches, vendors, and instructors and ensuring the safety of all participants and attendees at all times. Work schedule varies depending upon program and event schedules. Schedule is a combination of daytime in office hours and in the field work on evenings and weekends regularly.
