This position works under the direction of the Director of the Department of Corrections and is responsible for general maintenance of the Wicomico County Department of Corrections to include the buildings. The individual will perform the duties of the lead technician and be responsible for the coordination of shop activities and assignments of the other Correctional Maintenance Technicians as well a variety of skilled, semi-skilled, construction, maintenance, modification and repair activities as required. The incumbent will receive technical support and direction from the Supervisor of General Services in coordination with the director. The majority of work performed is in a secure correctional environment with and around inmates.
