Under the direction of the Director of Recreation, Parks & Tourism, the Recreation Superintendent is responsible for directing and managing a comprehensive public recreation program for the citizens of Wicomico County. Duties include but are not limited to: management of operating funds to carry out all public recreation programs and events, supervision of program directors and support staff, coordination with stakeholder groups such as the Board of Education, volunteer boards and Recreation Councils to see that recreational opportunities are made possible to all members of the community, and execution of the strategic plan to fulfill the mission of the Department.
