Under the direction of the Recreation Superintendent, the Program Director is responsible for planning, implementing and executing special events and recreation programs as part of the Department’s mission. Program Director duties will focus on special events management and recreation programming but may include other programming duties as required. Regular duties include: recruiting part-time personnel and volunteers, evaluating programs, supervising part-time staff, preparing budgets, accounting and monitoring program revenues and expenses, creating and maintaining relationships with community groups, developing and promoting public awareness, taking inventory of necessary equipment, organizing and implementing special events, among other duties as assigned.
