Provides advanced clerical and administrative support to the Planning & Zoning Department. Position includes general secretarial duties; attend some evening meetings that include taking and transcribing minutes; receive the public and respond to inquiries; and assist with the preparation of the Department budget and administration of expenditures.  Other duties, include, but are not limited to the following activities:

Provide information and coordinate with other County departments, as well as and local, state, and federal governments about various programs and policies; 
Direct customer inquiries to appropriate staff member(s) to respond;
Assist with scheduling of meetings for staff and boards, committees, and councils supported by the Department; and
Maintain filing system and office procedures.
