Administrative Office Associate I - Planning, Zoning & Community

Provides clerical and administrative support to the Planning, Zoning, and Community Development Department. Position includes general secretarial duties; attend some evening meetings that include taking and transcribing minutes; receive the public and respond to inquiries; and assist with administration of expenditures.  Other duties, include, but are not limited to the following activities:

•Direct customer inquiries to appropriate staff member(s) to respond;

•Assist with scheduling of meetings for staff and boards, committees, and councils supported by the Department;

•Provide information and coordinate with other County departments, as well as and local, state, and federal governments about various programs and policies; 

•Maintain filing system, office procedures, confidential personnel and customer files; 

•Oversee time reporting system; and

•Update website and social media platforms in support of Department functions and activities.
